Avocado Cilantro Crema is a tangy & flavorful sauce that is perfect on tacos, burgers, and more!

Avocado Cilantro Crema is one of the most delicious homemade condiment recipes!

So at 25 (after a tumultuous few years of trying to break free from the white-bread life I had come to know) I was determined to really get out on my own and live. To experience the cultures I had read about, heard of in stories, and seen on TV.
It was the year my best friend came back from teaching English in the Dominican Republic. The year I fell in love with Latino culture. The year I met and learned from so many people with different skin colors and cultural backgrounds.
The year my affinity for toxic relationships culminated in my worst choice of a partner yet. And the year I first really tasted avocado.

I’ve since embraced my love for avocados and I eat them weekly. What other fruit looks like a vegetable, has the texture of a cloud from heaven, and is versatile enough to transcend cultural boundaries? Come on!
This avocado crema reminds me of that 25th year.
It is tangy, creamy, and smooth and the cilantro gives it a bright, herby flavor that makes it perfect for Mexican-inspired meals and more. Use it on shrimp tacos. Dress up a jalapeño cheddar chicken burger. Or add a little flair to your next homemade club sandwich.

Made with only 5 ingredients, you can have it ready in just a few minutes. Nobody needs to know how little work it took to elevate the hell out of any dish.
And if you find yourself in the middle of a cultural identity crisis at 25 (or 45, or 75) having never experienced avocado to the max, this avocado cilantro crema is an easy peasy way to add a little excitement to your life. Get out there and live a little.

People who can write a story so that I feel like I’m right there in the middle of it and take a picture so that I can actually taste the food are totally my hero! You truly have a gift!
Thank you, Lori! 🙂
